Gentlemen’s Afternoon Tea

Gentlemen’s Afternoon Tea

Afternoon Tea is not just for the ladies, sometimes a savoury treat seems to be an appealing option for men

Hamiltons Restaurant offers the best Gentlemen’s Afternoon Tea Experience for men in Wolverhampton.

Our Gentlemen’s Afternoon Tea was crafted for “the men” as an alternative pre-match lunch before a football game at the Wolves. So, if Dad, Son and Grandad were going out for a “Generation Boys Lunch” celebrating an occasion before the game then this suits extremely well as a mid-afternoon treat.

This platter is based on more masculine meaty, savoury options, featuring a black pudding scotch egg, mini beef burger and a cajun spiced chicken & prawn skewer. Also, there is that need for a little sweetness so there are a few traditional sweet treats included, such as our traditional fruit scone with clotted cream and jam and our chef’s shot glass dessert of the day.

We have an extensive range of whiskies at Hamiltons Restaurant. The single malt whiskey was introduced under the concept that a whiskey drinker takes time to enjoy and savour the flavours and aromas a single malt offers. Gentlemen’s Afternoon Tea isn’t by all means a quick occasion, it also needs time to be eaten. Customers can choose two whiskies of their choice from our bar, usually enjoyed at the end of Gentlemen’s Afternoon Tea.

Gentlemen’s Afternoon Tea £19.95 per person.

Gentlemen’s Afternoon Tea & Whiskey £26 per person

Make your own Raspberry & White Chocolate Blondies, Hamiltons Restaurant Wolverhampton

31Jul

In honour of our New Afternoon Tea Menu launching Wednesday 1st August at Hamiltons Restaurant Wolverhampton, here is the recipe to our Raspberry and White Chocolate Blondies for you to make and enjoy at home.

Raspberry White Chocolate Brownies (Blondies)
 Yields: 16 brownies
Ingredients
  • 5 oz/140 g white chocolate, coarsely chopped
  • ⅓ cup (75 g/2.6 oz) unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
  • ½ cup (100 g/3.5 oz) granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¾ cup plus 2 tablespoons (125 g/4.5 oz) all-purpose flour
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup fresh raspberries
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350F/180C. Line the base and sides of an 8×8-inch baking pan with foil, leaving enough overhang on the sides for lifting the brownies out after baking.
  2. In a medium heat-proof bowl, place white chocolate and butter. Place bowl over a saucepan of simmering water and stir occasionally until chocolate and butter have melted. Transfer mixture to a large bowl, then add sugar and mix to combine. Add eggs, one at the time, mixing until combined. Stir in vanilla. Sift flour and salt, then fold into batter just until combined. Fold in raspberries.
  3. Pour batter into prepared pan and smooth the top. Bake for 17-20 minutes, until top is golden and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Avoid overbaking, which will make the brownies dry. Let brownies cool completely on a wire rack, then lift them out of the pan and cut into squares (or refrigerate until completely set for perfect cutting).
  4. Brownies can be kept at room temperature or in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Alternatively, they can be frozen for up to 2 months, then thawed overnight in the fridge.

Raving Reviews for Hamiltons Restaurant, Wolverhampton

24Jul
Choose from our Summer lunch menu, Afternoon Tea or why not enjoy a cocktail or meal as the sun goes down at Hamiltons Restaurant, Wolverhampton.
Don’t just take our word for it here are just some of our recent reviews;

We had 6 adults and 3 kids attending to the restaurant, and upon arrival we were greeted by the friendly manager. We booked a table an hour before hand, we were given an indoor table originally, but we realised they had an outdoor garden thus we asked if we could sit outside. The staff rearranged the table for us with no hesitation. We ordered steaks and pork belly, and they were amazing! Extra credits to the pork belly, the skin was so crispy and meat was very tender! Kids under 3 enjoyed free meals and desserts which was very generous too. It was a real pleasure dining at this place and would 110% come back again!! Highly recommended!!!

Had a great meal steak and fish was amazing will set be back had a lovely evening cocktails were quirky and had a lovely cheesecake for pudding.

We stumbled on Hamilton’s completely by accident, as we were visiting a relative in the hospital next door. The meal we had was fantastic. It was well presented and tasted amazing. We had the 2 course special deal for an amazing £18 per person. The staff were also really helpful. They called us a taxi when the heavens opened. Kept calling the taxi company to find out where they were, and the owner even went outside in the rain to look for the taxi to save us getting wet. We can’t wait to return and really recommend Hamilton’s, you won’t be disappointed.
